Hi, I've got a DG41CN intel system. I would like to disable my internal speaker for good. How do I do that? I tried the regedit option, doesn't work. Please help. Thank you. (kfir_le@yahoo.com)

Just unplug it from the motherboard, it's the four pin connector next to the power on connector. Unless it's built into the motherboard in which case you'll have to disable it in the bios.

Tore it off what? Was it built onto the MB? Things like that can damage one of the metal tracings on the board so if you didn't then count yourself lucky because you could have easily bricked your MB.

OK , your very lucky because taking something off the motherboard is very risky.
