Which mobo? Choices in thread

Hi, So my system will be:

7970/670
3570k
500gb hdd
16gb corsair ram
etc


anyway, i will be overclocking, aiming for 4.7/8ghz stable and i want the best mobo with the perfect balance.


I've narrowed it down to these choices with prices.

Please state which you would choose given my circumstance, and solid facts / proof behind your statement.


Choices:

Asus P8z77 v pro - 165
MSI z77 gd65 - 150
MSI UD5H - 145
EVGA Z77 FTX - 175 ( my personal favorite so far )


Please don't suggest extreme4, doesn't work with my case

The Asus V-Pro would be the best for what you want to do with overclocking and the Asus boards are very good when trying to get the highest overclock.

I would go the Asus V-Pro too. However, for that high an OC I would make sure the PSU and Cooler were high quality

h100 / 850w ax psu

regardless, i would really like to go with the evga because it matches my color scheme

could you guys provide some benchmarks or some proof that proves that the pro is better than the other choices?

I know it has a relatively high phase count, but i'm pretty sure the real number is around 8 vs the 7 on the evga

I'm sure i'll be able to get 4.7ghz on any mobo on that list so overclocking isn't really a main concern


I've never been a fan of asus because every product of theirs i've tried, it turned out wrong.
