Connecting 2.1 Sound system to 5.1 Sound Card

Hi,

I have a 2.1 Sound System with only one audio in no separate subwoofer in...I connected 5.1 line out to audio in my sound system....the green one...configured windows to 2.1...everything works fine but the bass.... Is there a way to use dedicated sub woofer out from sound card together with line out and combine it with a connector to feed into my 2.1 sound system? if so, do you think i will get a better bass?

Most 2.1 sound systems are designed to receive stereo inputs. The subwoofer will not recieve a discrete channel in this configuration. Just plug your speakers to the front speaker output jack and select the speaker type in the sound card properties.
