Unfortunately, my son dropped his new Samsung NF310 six feet from his top bunk in his dorm, to the hard floor below. Amazingly though, the only thing I can find wrong with it is the keyboard. Very hard to even log into the netbook because you press 1 key, and 2 or 3 random characters are entered. Once logged in, sometimes one key will be entered in many times. I tried an external USB keyboard, and it works fine with the external keyboard. I played around with it for about 2 hours last night and couldn't find any other issues. I even ran error checks on the hard drives, and degragged them and no problems were found. Pretty impressed with the durability of the netbook withstanding that kind of fall. A coule keys popped off the keyboard and there is a small 1/3" crack in the inside to the right of the touchpad, but the outside of the case and the screen have no scratches or cracks. Trying to figure out if it's cost effective to try and fix the netbook. Do you think any other parts would be needed other than the keyboard below? I'm going to open it up today and reseat the keyboard cable, but I doubt that will fix it. Do you think on this particular netbook, the problem would be with the keyboard, motherboard where the keyboard connects, controller?? I hate to spend $68 on the keyboard to find out it doesn't fix the problem. Any small wireless flexible keyboards that are about the same size that could be used with the netbook? Thanks, Patty
