    PCI and PCIe are totally different standards with many differences.

    As far as the GTX560 is concerned it also denotes the amount of shaders or cores the card has.

    PCI can be now called a "legacy" controller. It is now mainly used for sound and network cards.
    PCI Express (PCIe) is the most recent slot type. It is mainly used for discrete graphics cards and most recently, solid state drives (SSDs).
