Hi Guys

I have Corsair Vengance 1600Mhz ram set to 1600 in BIOS

However CPU-Z tells me it is only 800Mhz.

In the memory forum infact it shows at 667

Is that normal or am I doing something wrong. Thanks!

Solution

ddr=double data rate. Cpuz is telling you the dram speed. 800*2=1600. If cpuz is saying 800mhz for dram it is infact 1600 mhz ddr. Your memory sounds like it is working as it should.
