Video games shutdown my computer

Hey there i have had a new gaming computer for under a month now. On a hot day my PSU busted when i was playing BF3. I ended up having to replace my PSU.

Currently these games shutdown my computer

Battlefield 3
War in the North
Stronghold 3

(BF3 is the only graphics intensive game)
However WoW does not seem to shutdown my computer.

I measured my GPU temperature in BF3 as 54 C and mt CPU is 66 C

This is my computer specs

Core i7 2600 3.4ghz
16gb DDR3
Nvidia GTX 570
600 watt PSU

What is your PSU model/make? I strongly suspect the PSU.

Is there way of finding out without opening up my case?

Nope. You have to open your case to look at it. Unless, you case have side panel windows.

Its a Codegen, I don't know its model number sorry. I know they're generic but people say they're on of the better generics. It has a 12+ volt rail on 20 amps. Im guessing the Amperage is not enough for these games or is it faulty?

Yeah, the PSU did not deliver enough power to your PC. You need at least 600W quality PSU like SeaSonic, Antec, XFX, OCZ.

Not enough amps, to run the 570 you need 38 amps, thats why the game crashes whenever the card is put on 100% load.

For such a nice build system, dont scrimp on a psu.
Just buy a nice corsair psu, great quality and will power your needs for years.

I've been recommending corsair psu's to friends for years after there cheaper generic ones failed, and i've never seen any go wrong in 10 years of building pc's.

They've only been on the market for about 7 years, so that's pretty good
