Motherboard Not detecting Graphics Card

Hello,

i have an A8V-VMse Mother board form asus and athlon processor. when i tried to install the new graphics (agp) it was not detecting. can i use a pci graphics card instead of it? is there any other solutions i have to work on 3ds

i just googled that board......it does not show an agp slot.....that would explain not finding that gpu

it does say you have a pci-E x16 slot.....that is the type of card you should be looking towards
