Wireless laptop can only connect to 1 of 2 access points

Hello,
I'm staying at a hotel and using their unsecured wireless access. I have a wireless enabled multi-purpose printere and want to setup my own WAP so that I can have access to my printer and print from the hotel Internet access back to my printer. will my laptop accept/work seemlessly between two SSID and different WAPs???

Hello Warscout2, the hotel only provides wireless Internet access otherwise I would have gone that route.
