ASUS G50VT WITH INTEL CORE2 DUO T9900 3.6Ghz vs P7450 2.13Ghz

On my Asus G50Vt

I was looking to upgrade my CPU from a Intel P7450 2.13Ghz to the Intel T9900 3.6Ghz which is a monster when it comes to a powerhouse. The only difference I see is that the T9900 draws 35watts and the stock Intel P7450 draws 25watts the only other processor that draws 25watts is the P9600 2.66Ghz

So question is can my motherboard handle the 35 watts and how can I ID my board specs to find out? I tried the Intel site but its useless.

T9600/T9400/P8600/P8400/P7350

thats all the processors it lists so it wouldnt suprize me if thats the support list

Thanks for the response. I wish I could know for certain because that's a beast the T9900 but do not want to loose my money as a local store here has good deals but they are unaware if it will work or not with my current set up.
