hi im looking at buying a gpu. i currently have an amd budget/gaming build and i have a few ?'s

here are my current specs and im using my onboard hd 4290 atm

msi 890gxm mobo
phenom ii x2 555 4.0ghz oc ... couldnt unlock o well
4gb of corsair xms3 ddr3 1600 ram
cooler master hyper n 520
nzxt tempest evo
raidmax 530 watt psu
seagate 500gb hdd
and a lite on oem dvd burner

im looking at getting either a 6790, 6850 or a gtx 460 ...

my questions are though what would be the best for me. i have a 720p tv that supports 1080i also. so how does that work. i have it at 1920x1080 right now but thats not 1080p right? SO BASICALLY my question is what would be my best bet and i want to be able to play battlefield 3 when it comes out. so should i only play in 720p or can i play in 1080i ? ALSO will my cpu be good enough for gaming? i hear that gtx460's and 6850's can max some games but will my cpu be a problem? also what is the best gpu that i can buy that wont be hindered by my cpu and tv since its only 1080i please help thanks

Solution
you can underclock it a bit..... and if it seems as tho the cpu is holdin ya back (after installing your new 460) you can push it back up a bit.....test it......push it a lil more.....test it.....

you get the drift.....
