I need help deciding between two cards for my new system.

I am looking at either a GTX 560 TI preferably this card Link

My other choice would be some form of Radeon 6870. My question is does it make more sense for me to get the 560 Ti or get the cheaper card and then buy another for crossfire in a couple of months.

I will be using a 23 inch monitor with a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Thank you for the answers. I was actually thinking the same thing about just buying another later on. Maybe one will be enough for me and I can save a couple hundred bucks.

One other thing. Do you guys think the 560 ti will fit in a budget case. Something like this

If that case can take a GTX480 it can take a GTX560Ti.

What are you full system specs?(CPU,RAM,Mobo, etc.)

What is the make/model of your PSU?

A GTX560ti is only $30 more.I would suggest buying the GTX560ti now and then SLIing when you have them money. Both cards have very good multi-card performance but in a multi-card setup the GTX560ti SLI has more power than a 6870 crossfire.

I wanted the non overclocked version. Why. Because of the shipping and you can get the one I posted to 1000mhz but it will take a little longer.

I am guessing the slightly more expensive one is if you want to have an easier time overclocking or do not want to at all.

As for the PSU I have a Antec 750 Watt. I hope that is enough.

Hi Kylejs,

I run 2 560ti's on a 750 watt on hx 750. It all depends on the Antec unit some are amazing some are just decent.

PSU: LINK

CPU: Core I5 2500k

Case: Haf 912 or that is what I am planning on.

Only thing I have yet to pick up is graphics (you know), and a motherboard. Not sure if RAM and HDD are needed for input. Ram is just 1600 4 gb at the moment. Optical is Asus DVD burner.
