Approximate Purchase Date: 1-2 months
Budget Range: $1300
System Usage from Most to Least Important: GAMING, watching movies, composing music.
Parts Not Required: Mouse, speakers, printer, keyboard, monitors
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg
Country of Origin: USA
Parts Preferences: Intel/Nvidia preferably, needs to have dual monitor support
Overclocking: Maybe but not likely
SLI or Crossfire: Prefer not to but I'll leave that open ended
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 x2
Additional Comments: Biggest thing is it needs to support dual monitor for my audio editing but still be able to run newer games at high settings, beyond that I'm open. Wouldn't mind a SSD for OS+2-3 games and disk drive for the majority of the storage but with current life expectancy on SSDs I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Mobo: Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen3 $129.99
Mem: Corsair/Gskill/Kingston/Mushkin 2x4GB 1.5V CAS9 1600Mhz $55
GPU: NVidia 560Ti $239 ( before $20 MIR ) - several choices around this price
Case: Lanboy air $119 ( with CC before $20 MIR )
PSU: Corsair HX750 $140 ( before $20 MIR )
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB $59.99

I assumed just one, cos the having the bars in the middle of the point of view would be awkward, as usually people go with the full 3 displays if they decide to Eyefinity/NVSurround.

The 2 monitors would be just for more real estate for the editing stuff.

But i'm sure Dark will let us know.

Well in that case my suggestion would be ok, and you can add a 120GB Sata III SSD to it.

CPU: i5 2500k $219.99
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+ $29.99
Mobo: Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen3 $129.99
Mem: Corsair/Gskill/Kingston/Mushkin 2x4GB 1.5V CAS9 1600Mhz $55

Case: Lanboy air $119 ( with CC before $20 MIR )
PSU: Corsair HX750 $140 ( before $20 MIR )
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB $59.99
DVD: 20-24x DVD writer $20
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB ~$200
