A BT Dongle might serve you better.
D-Link makes an excellent low-priced one.

The problem with a BT dongle is it sticks out pretty far in the back of the
laptop.

Belkin makes a Bluetooth PC card.

Could be an issue for some, although no need to leave BT Dongle in place
while traveling.

Some laptops have USB ports on the side.

The problem with a PC card is that it uses up a PC card slot which are
harder to add than is extra USB ports with mini hubs.
