Hw to tell if motherboard is faulty

Hello,
i've been trying to fix a problem with my computer, Heres what it does.
When i press Power button, the CPU LED Light flashes on and the fans begin to spin then instantly turn off. its not the power supply tested it in another computer, i think it might be my motherboard playing up. I'm using the Sabretooth 55i

The way you test this is to break everything down to just the absolute bare minimum needed for POST. If you get the unit to POST, you add parts back in, one at a time, testing each one before adding the next, until either you identify the bad part or things work.
If you can't get the unit to POST even in a bare min config, then you know the issue is with one of those components, one of which is the motherboard.
