Hey guys,

So I'm getting artifacts with my computer as you can see here:

Here is a COMPLETE rundown of my system specs using CPUZ:

I'm just wondering if anyone of you will be able to find my problem somewhere... As far as I can tell, everything is running smoothly. However, as I tried to locate the problem with Memtest86 I kept failing Memtest #7 over and over... From what I've read on the forums test #7 is usually attributed with configuration problems? Anyways, I'm really hoping it's nothing major and that I will be able to fix it on my own.

Thanks,

Seb

Well if its failing memtest then that could obviously be the culprit. Im guessing the memtest error could be a number of things such as incompatability. Go into your bios and check that the cpu and ram and chipset voltages are correct to the manufacturers specification. Are you overclocking?indeed please list your full specs, how many ram sticks you running etc

Hey guys,

Alright so here are my system specs...

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula AM3 AMD 890F
CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX850 850W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular
OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" 60GB
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200
SAPPHIRE 100311SR Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

I left out the obvious system specs which would not be conflicting and causing artifacts... Anyways, perhaps you guys can let me know if there's a compatibility issue?

Thanks,

Seb

you have 2 ram modules. remove one of them and test for errors. if that is fine, try the other one on its own. you will then know which ram module is failing. If neither are failing, try both together again, but in different slots. then try underclock the ram and see what happens. Also set the ram memory timing manually if you can.

+1 mate, test the ram out individually, i know in my system a few years back I tried everything and it still got artifacts in everything. Took me weeks to sort, I had OCZ ram at the time, switched to corsair and all problems were solved.
