Lines coming in lcd monitor

Hello,i have been using nvidia 256mb graphics card..when i remove card and plug in monitor directly to mother board no lines are coming..but when connected to graphics card lines are coming,.so pls find me a way to overcome this

It sounds like you got a bad video card. It's possible the board slot (AGP, PCI, PCI-X) is bad. I would suggest replacing your video card. It sounds like you got an old video card and motherboard. I would suspect you have an AGP slot. Today's video cards have minimum 512MB, but more commonly have 1GB. You can Google your computer or motherboard model to find out the specs.
