WPA2 compatibility

Hello,
I have an elderly evesham laptop -quest A213 model 8889 probably really a mitac. On upgrading wireless security to WPA2 this would no longer connect. A clean install of Windows XP home, and latest RT2500 drivers did not help, nor did installation of Netgear N150 wireless usb adaptor.
Is the computer not capable of WPA2? It works with WPA-PSK

Switch off firewall connect then switch on firewall
