Gigabyte motherboard problems with windows 7

Hello experts,
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2PT Motherboard,
is it a good choice against ASUS M5A78L-M LX Motherboard ?? Gigabyte is having IDE port extra (backward compatible). plz reply.

The Gigabyte board does offer more options then the Asus board and will support up to 16gb of ram vs the Asus boards 8gb.
