System specs: i3 550, 4gb ram, 5750. I will be running battfield 3 on a 1600x900 resolution. How well will i be able to run this game? and on what settings. Also will it perform better than a xbox 360 ir ps3 would? Thank you for your time.

BF3 specs haven't been released yet as far as I know. I do know it will be heavily threaded (at least 4) just like BF2, so your i3 might be a bit lacking but will probably do alright.

The 5750 is a bit on the weak side, even for that resolution. I would say medium to low setting.

Of course it will perform better than a console but you can probably play med settings under 60 fps or low settings over 60fps

people are always hyping game engines thinking that some devs will make a new "crysis" .Wake up.Battlefield 3 is multi platform and just like crysis 2 all available existing hardware will max it out because the game has been made to run on a 7950 the consoles are equivalent to low settings on your 5750 should run it on high settings.Besides your resolution is relatively low.
