hmm, first can you tell me your whole specification?

What i reccomend is just typing your sepcs into this website

http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

make sure you play safe though. BTW is your PSU 80+ broze or something? If it isnt you will have to go for a lower sepc card.

Remember if your psu is not good quality it is quite dangerouse. Spending about 40 quid on a good gpu such as a corsair cx 430 or an xfx 430 is much better as they only cost about 37 quid and its well worth it!

anyways, a gt 430 should work on a 300watt i assume. But check on that calculator please!

ok what cpu do you have, how many dvd drives do you have and are they sata or ide, how many hard drives do you have, sata or ide? do you have an ssd, how many sticks of ram do you have, and are they ddr1/2/3? What graphics card do you have...

its all quite simple. Just fill it all out :)

just post your system specs on this forum and ill do it for you if you want :)

ever since the gt430 came out it was known to be slow and poor value for money. your better off with a gt240 or ati 5570. but yes, we need full system specs to make a proper recommendation.

It is quiet cheap and good for the price, if you have the money i would suggest this.
Seeing as you dont have a strong psu, i checked for products that dont require a 6-pin pcx power adapter

i checked the hd 5670 benchmarkcs : looks much better than the gt 430 i was going to get , but as i said : will my 300w psu cause any problems ?

i will check...

yes it will definately work. Said that the reccomended psu wattage is 260... you have 300 watt. Also that caluclator i beleive include overhead just incase, so you are way below it.

it should work fine! GO FOR IT!

If you have to. Take your side panel off and unplug one of your case fans to reduse power use. Untill you can aford to buy a better psu.

a very good way to check if your psu can handle a gpu (besides the sites that calculate the max wattage etc) the PCI-x slot can only give 75 Watts, nothing more.. so if your cpu is a 95Watt TDP, and you have 1 hdd and odd, then you have another 130watts or so for the gpu, and "the PCI-x slot can only give 75 Watts" so it will work..

Hopefully it helped.

INTEL CORE I5-2300/2.8 GHZ 6MO
CHIPSET H61
6Gb ram/750Gb HD
HD 5670

can i run gta 4 , cryisis 2 ...at 35fps + ??

hehe, np mate,

okay sounds decent, just depending on your resolution, im sure you should get 35fps+ in gta, not sure about crysis 2, if you can give me the resolution you want to play at, and what settings then i can give you a more specific answer

Your Core i5 2300 and H61 motherboard are good to go with the HD 5670.

GTA 4 , Crysis2 @ +35fps? Should be no problem with the HD 5670 and 1280x720 resolution

But with the directx11 update. He will not be able to play crysis 2 maxed. Maybe it directx9 maxed? At a lower resolution. Basically what i'm saying is that the 5670 is great. But no crysis 2 card; i see people with the gtx 570 who run it at that fps in that resolution
July 28, 2011 7:57:50 AM

yes the 5670 is a really good card - albeit a budget card, and a low power consuming card, it is brilliant...

The res u want to run crysis at should be no problem at all, just drop your settings a bit and you are good to go...

as for the pci-express slot, the history (if i do remember correctly) it was as follows
pci, agp v1, agp v2, pci-express v1, since 2007/8 it has always been pci-express v2

thanks all , i guess crysis 2 would run on medium-high settings with this resolution ..

but shall i install the card myself on my h61 chipset or hire someone to do so = i saw videos on youtube on how to do it , but is it risky to do it my self ?

Side note : i already have a geforce 210 and want to change it to the hd 5670
