PCI-e/Motherboard Question.

Ok, well I'm buying a Z77 board, an MSI Z77A G-45 to be exact. It only has 1 PCI-e 2.0 slot. I'll be pairing it with an i7 2600k. I know that Sandy Bridge doesn't support PCI-e 3.0, outside of X79, anyway. Can I run a PCI-e 3.0 card in those slots, but run them as 2.0?

Yep. It'll work perfectly, just at 2.0 speed, like you say.
