Llano 3870K Appears at Newegg

@amdfangirl: thanks for the harwareheaven link. :)
i noticed that the minimum fps didn't increase that much when the radeon hd 6950 was used. does that mean there's still some cpu bottleneck with the 3870k?
3870k+6670 looks more appealing for entry level, though.

For a little over the price of 1 i5 2500k, you can have a cpu/gpu combo that can max out skyrim 1920/1080 with an average of 28 fps. 0AA, though. Love how well these APUs perform.

Can't wait for trinity to come out. hopefully they release what gpus will be compatible with them soon.

But the CPU core is also weaker so for people looking for processing power, the less expensive Llano comes at a price. For hardcore gamers having a more powerful integrated graphics core than Intel doesn't really make too much of a difference since they are likely to install a discrete video.

Of course, not everyone can afford or want to spend money on a Core i5-2500k, so these unlocked Llanos are good for those people who want a quad core on a budget that can be overclocked easily.

This post was not about which chip is better. It was informing people that a certain APU has reached retail. Leave it alone.
