Slim graphics card

Hey guys, am in a spot of trouble!! I bought a new Acer Aspire X1420 desktop yesterday & the douche that sold it to me said that if i wanna pop a new Video Card in it, i need to find a slim version? He suggested looking for a ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE PCI-E Graphics Card - 1GB and get it in a slim version?? i don't know if i've been blagged or not, because i can't find it anywhere!
am a bit of a n00b so any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Excellent thanks so i need to look for a single-slot card and possibly a power supply and i'll be good to go? Am mostly gonna be using it for Starcraft II if that's of any use at all lol

that is a dual slot.....so no

and there are plenty of alternatives but just remember.......with a lesser cost comes less reliability

Newegg do not deliver to the UK but there are an awful lot of forum users who cannot comprehend the simple fact that there are other countries in the world.

I don't mean to sound like a complete tool, but how do i figure out if i have PCI, PCI express or AGP on my computer? i have found a single slot Gforce 9800 gt but i really have no idea if it's any good? or compatible with my pc?

Download and run GPUz, the box labelled 'Bus Interface' will tell you what slot you have.

Excellent thanks it says i currently have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE, which isn't great, it also says it supports & is currently running PCI. Apologies again for my ignorance, but is it just a case of getting the right graphics card and PSU and plugging it all in?

Pretty much yes, just don't get a GTX460 SE as that is a severely gimped version and would not be worth crossing the road to pee on if it was on fire.

Sorry to be a pain in the backside, could you recommend any decent graphics cards that would fit PCI? am losing the will to live trying to find one, just my luck i would buy the wrong one lol

PCI graphic cards are few and far between but according to the Acer site your PC should have a single PCIe x16 slot, have you opened it up and had a look inside?

Yes that is good as it means you can run any card on the market today.

I don't play SC II but from what I've read it seems to be very CPU orientated.

It depends on your budget, I myself would not go lower than a GTX560Ti.
