The best and most reliable z77 motherboard?

Im looking for the best and most reliable z77 motherboard. Ive been reading different forums, some say asus is good and some say asus has problems and the customer service is terrible and the same goes with different brands like gigabyte, msi etc.

Ive made my choice with my CPU which is going to be the i5 3570k, but still cant make my choice on a motherboard please help!!

More about reliable motherboard
  1. Both Asus and gigabyte is very good. Asus has no problem. Maybe sometimes faulty which is usual and others also have. Its your personal choice.

But Gigabyte is my choice. It is durable and very good at overclocking. Also very stable for long time use.
  2. Gigabyte is the way to go for durability. Look at this:
    GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H

  3. is the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H great for overclocking?
  4. Asrock Z77 Extreme 4.
    Great in everything

is asrock reliable and will it overclock with no issues?
  6. asrock z77 extreme 4 or gigabyte ud3h or the asus p8z77v pro?

I use the extreme 4 with my 3570K. What CPU will you be using to pair with this motherboad?. If you want overclocking so much... your gonna want Republic Of Gamers which is overly priced in my opinion. But my ASRock overclocked a 2700K to 4.8 ghz before I purchased it used from a friend. Now i run 24/7 on a mild OC of 4.4ghz with little voltage modding. The Extreme6 is a good board as well. I wouldn't knock ASRock off the choices because they make very good boards and quality is very much similar to ASUS

I heard that but have not seen any proof
  12. what do you think of this combo?

Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z77X-D3H Motherboard by Gigabyte

    Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)

    Corsair 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3
  13. sorry i meant the asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard
  14. The Z77 Extreme4 is a decent budget board imho i personally wouldn't buy it.But seems good from the reviews and members here on TH seem to fancy it.I have done a few builds for friends with it the only negative I have for this motherboard is that it slips outside of typical ATX specifications. It’s 3cm thinner than a standard ATX motherboard and as a result may lack secure mounting on the far side since this isn’t a common size, which also means you should be very careful when plugging in the 24-pin ATX motherboard power – as the motherboard may flex.

I would go with gigabyte. I used 7years old gigabyte mobo. And still perform like new. Its durability is the best with overclocking.

Asrock Extreme4 is good but gigabyte is the way to go.

so what board do you recommend?
  17. why would anyone not buy a etreme4 or extreme6. It has the features of mid range boards. Performance of mind range boards but for the price of a low end board. They are both great boards for the money. Asrock has other boards under 200$ that can do most everything the Asus mid range boards can do
  18. mo0121 said:

Depends on what your looking for in the motherboard and your budget
  19. I prefer quality assurance i do not feel i get that with Asrock so i go with Asus or gigabyte i did not say i would not recommend AsRock i said i personally would not buy the mobo OP is inquiring about and i already stated why do not take it personal

  29. I thought the Z77 Extreme 4 had a problem with VRM cooling?

    Basically:
    Z77 Extreme 4=Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3
    Z77 Extreme 6=Z67 Extreme 4 Gen 3

ASRock's are known for easy Overclockability. I believe that Tom's Hardware has recommended them in the past and noted just such abilities.

Mine had an OC profile for my CPU that actually wasn't bad at all!

Actually between these three board(Asus, Gigabyte & Asrock), no one will let you down.
  41. I have always used ASUS, but this is my first ASRock board and i have to say it hasn't let me down. I could see the quality comparison is similar with ASRock and ASUS
