How to adjust power meter in windows xp

how to adjust power meter in windows xp it is not working it is not showing how must battery is charged please help me

Did you check the cable connection?

Did you check device manager in "My computer" properties to see if there is a Battery present?

Does your battery come with a software to connect to the unit and give you precise information?
