Hi there,

I'm unable to make a choice between the following boards:

ASUS P8H61-M LX PLUS

MSI B75MA-E33

It's for an HTPC and light general computing build.

Unlike on Newegg, in my country they're priced $68 for the ASUS, and $84 for the MSI, however, the ASUS available here is not the R2.0 one, which means no Ivy Bridge or PCI-E 3.0.

I'm leaning toward the ASUS as it's the more reputable brand, like their Ez BIOS and their AI Suite, but in the same time I can't ignore the fact that the MSI is built on B75 chipset which sports Ivy Bridge CPUs, USB 3.0, PCI-E 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s but for $16 more and that I'm not fond of MSI boards.

I'll use Intel Pentium G620 2.6 GHz and GeForce GT 220 with this build, as I already have them.

EDIT: I want to stress that I don't think I'll upgrade to an Ivy Brigde CPU, and won't be using the PCI-E 3.0 or SATA 3.0 in 2-3 years time-frame, by then this build will probably be obsolete anyway. It's just the USB 3.0 support that I'm unable to ignore.

Tip one side or the other to help me make this decision.

Thanks in advance.
