P8z77-v onboard sound no longer working

I built myself a new gaming computer a few months ago and everything was working fine. I use the front jack for my headphones so I don't disturb anyone else in the room. Today I got myself a new MSI HD 7950. I unplug all things from my jacks so I can install the card. Everything installs just fine, but when I plug my headphones back in they no longer work. I've un-installed and re-installed the factory audio drivers, I've un-installed and re-installed the Catalyst Control Center(video card drivers) without audio support and nothing works. Any idea's?

have you gone into your playback devices and made sure windows isnt set to use the hdmi sound from the video card, and uses your onboard sound?

double check for front audio connection to mobo. if it loosen or etc...

Yes I have. Its set to Realtek HD audio 2nd output. I've tried plugging my headphones directly into my AMD HD audio device and it works there but at a much lower volume and quality.
