The prices are with psu I will buy both corsair builders 430/600 respectively will be playing at 1600x900 possibly 1080p
Also the 6870 doesn't come with shogun so that's a bit of a choice ender almost

I am defiantly buying the card tomorrow so if someone wants to give there opinion.

From what I just heard, BF3 is way more CPU dependent than GPU, so I say go for the 6850 seeing how it'll most likely be able to play it.

If its that cpu dependant my overclocked gtx 275 and i7 870 will destroy the game :D

Go with the 6870.

BF3 is going to be very CPU demanding but it's also GPU demanding. It's a really powerful game engine.Although your q8300 will be bogged down from the weight of BF3.I suggest upgrading if you can.Or O.C. if possible.

it should be well optimised for quad core cpus, so you should be ok, an overclock would help though.

I would think it's manditory to O.C. in order to get the most out of the card in that game.2.5ghz will have a severe impact on the card.

My Phenom ii x4 965 @ 3.8ghz was at 90% when playing that game.Which makes me think your quad core at 2.5ghz will be a heavy bottleneck.

If you can muscle it I would suggest a 6950 or a 560ti. In regards to the difference between a 6850 and a 6870, it's nominal at best. I would just get the 6850 if you want your shogun :)  your net fps change would be 1-2 at best (fabricated numbers, albeit darn close I bet!)

edit: my 6950 came with dirt 3 :)

Just wanted to add that Shogun is a very demanding game.

It's an HD 6850 for $111.04 after MIR.
I'd get it in a heartbeat.

NCIX rarely have cheap stuff, but when they do, it's insane.
