Any thoughts on Coolpix 8800 vs. Konica Minolta A200? Many of my shots are
indoor sports ... basketball, volleyball, etc., and I usually must go
without flash.

Those two won't help you at all.
VR and AS are not meant for freezing moment ... and you will have a hard
time fixing up the noise.
