I was browsing through the web for some hardware deals today and came over something what should be called a super-offer from one of my local dealers. They were advertising a big sale offer on a AMD FX processor which was going to be revealed at precisely 1:37pm (go figure ). When I checked back, I finally got to see what it was.
In less than 30 min they were all sold out! I couldn't help but to get one myself so this leads to my question. I've read that this cpu and BD as a whole has been, shall we say, not as good as we would have hoped (lightly put). The old 955, which is also listed at the same orig. price $140, is said to be better and that it is not really a quad-core but performs more like a dual-core.
I am going to be doing some light gaming, browsing, watching movies etc. Anyways, for half price, the 4100 should be a steal, wouldn't you say?
For $70 it is a good deal for the performance that you are getting. Overall I would prefer a Phenom II CPU because of slightly better performance, but what are the chances of buying a new Phenom II for $70?
