I have decided to buy a new LCD screen, I have $500-$700 to spend, preferably closer to $500 but if there is a big quality gain $700 is not a problem.

Which screen is the best choice? From tests I've read they all seem to lack something unless one decide to splash more than $1000 which I'm not ready to do.

Screen size wanted is 17".

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,
Erik
