Hello I'm planning on upgrading either my computers CPU or GPU
my budget is $140(can increase, but not too much)

System Specs as of now...

Cpu: Amd Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4000+ Brisbane 2.10ghz
Power Supply: Powermax 475w(maybe a little higher)
Ram: 4.00gb
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon Hd 4350
500gb hard drive
Motherboard: Asus M2A-Vm Am2+ Socket 65w max TDP

Now I wanted to buy a Radeon hd 5670, but thought it would get bottle necked by my cpu so I looked around and found this cpu

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6612059&pagenumber=3&RSort=1&csid=ITD&recordsPerPage=5&body=#ReviewStart

do you think i can use this for mid gaming or should i get a

Athlon 64 X2 7850 Black CPU (currently out of stock in most websites)

I'm probably going to get both the Radeon hd 5670 and phenom x4 2.1ghz CPU, but decided on asking here to see if anyone would recommend something a bit better.

Extra Info: I am currently playing metro 2033 at 20 fps(lowest settings), but wanted an upgrade in speed. Other tasks I do are play Runescape and surfing videos/web. I also already have a cpu fan and thermal paste so no need to worry about those.

I would just get the vid card for now and wait until you can upgrade the mobo and CPU later. Buying that CPU would just be throwing good money after bad. You also might find a better deal on a 6670 card.

Even with your current CPU, you will still get much better frame rates than you have right now.

I still have my X2 4200+ running with an 8800gt and it really chokes that card.
