WHY IS IT STILL SAYING SINGLE CHANNEL!??

Hi guys

I have just purchased another 4gb Vengrance 1600Mhz High profile RAM stick to go with my current exact same one (motherboard is ASRock 970 Extreme3)

I've tried slots A1 and B1 - A1 and A2 - B1 and B2 - A2 and B2

And even though the motherboard does recognise the memory saying theres a total of 8192MB

It still says Single Channel Memory Module

Could you please help me its really starting to piss me off

Where did it says single channel? Check with CPU-Z soft.

A2-B2 set of memory should be populated for dual channel. If one module or three moduels are installed it will revert to single channel.

You might also check that the RAM is set to Ganged in BIOS. I believe it has to be to run in dual channel.

It said it in the BIOS, however after alot of removing/reseating in all the slots and alot of restarting, I finally managed to get it to work. BIOS now says it is in Dual Channel Memory Module.
