Online laptop help

Hello,
my laptop will not connect wirelessly to the internet. when i open the internet it says 'cannot find server' can anyone help?

How is your wireless configured, is it associated with your access point? Do you have other devices on your wireless that are working? Are you talking abour cell-based wireless like a card from Verizon or Sprint?
