Well Folks,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a low profile ram. Sorry if this is a silly question, I just want to be sure :)

Here is the link.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233254
Corsair
CMZ8GX3M2X1600C7R

Also, if this is not low profile, could someone recommend the best low profile 8GB ram for me please. Money is not a huge issue and also it will be used for gaming looking at the internet.

Cheers,
Alan

The lowest profile ram you can get is samsung's ram. It is just shorter than the locking clips on the ram slot. Other good choices are g.skill ares, or the kit linked by mouse.

Cheers for the quick reply....I guess I was looking at the specific RAM because it has a low CAS number (7), which I was informed runs better?? Maybe you could enlighten me more as to what is the best for gaming??

Cheers Bigcyco for all the links. I know you've helped me out before and a I appreciate it. I guess I have just one question left then....What is the best one. I know they are all similar in every way, but does one stick out above the rest??

Enlighten me to what the "Kit linked by Mouse" is???

If this is a way to add ram externally...?? I would be greatly interested. My Notebook is ddr2 construction and this limits me, even in Windows 7 64bit. Limited by memory card slot... ( I have 2 x ddr2 - 2gb installled) Also Windows7 64bit only see's 4gb but chooses to use only 3.75gb of it as useable??? .25 was not worth the expense of going from Win 7 32bit to Win 7 64bit
