I want to ask what is better going crossfire 6950 or just geting one gtx 580? One thing tho that got me worried is that my motherboard only support x16, x4 crossfire yea,not good i know.So b/c of that will the performance hit will be so much on my 6950 in crossfire that one gtx 580 will be better?

Lol.. buddy.. one 6950 on a 1600x900 resolution is overkill. You will be able to play anything at max settings with one. Not sure why the heck you would want a gtx580(which is overkill for a 1980x1020) much less, SLI two of them. Save yourself money and get an i5-2500k or put it towards Bulldozer when it comes out.

Or buy 2 more identical monitors and make real use of that 6950

Buy one gtx580. Those 4x slots will slow down the second card.

When you have more money buy a new monitor that is 1080p and the GTX580 will last you a wile. Also overclock your CPU to more than 3.5Ghz.
