First build, won't post

Hey guys. z77 Extreme4 board.

Just assembled first build on top of MOBO box. CPU fan, PSU fan, and video card fan all run. Asrok "Dr. Debug" panel lights up and displays "00". Yet no beeps, no feedback when I plug in monitor.

I've tried switching memory banks, re-installing video card and CPU, resetting board, etc. 24 pin connector is plugged in. I have two 4 pin atx connectors coming from my PSU, but only one matches up with the holes on the mobo, so I have one 4 pin plugged in. Debug panel lights up with it, so it's getting power. Speaker is plugged in.

I'm at a lost here.

Do cmos clear.good luck.

That involves just pressing the button, right? I tried that, didn't work.

One thing, my PSU did not come with a wall cord. So I'm using a 7 year old wall cord from an old pc. Could it somehow not be powerful enough? I doubt it, just throwing it out there.

Already tried every combination of ram.

Just checked, there are a couple of bent pins. Not sure how I caused it,since I dropped it in the right way and then closed the latch. I'll try to straighten them out and see what happens.

Would bent pins cause it not to post?

Looks like three pins on one corner somehow squashed down. Can't fix them. Actually,I believe I did this after re-installing t a second time. Oh well.

What should I do with my cpu now? They seem fragile, should I take any extra procaution when storing until I get a new mobo?

I'm going to buy a asus mobo from Best Buy today. Guess I'll get a refund from newegg.
