Of course, since it has true dual x16 and tri x8, the x79 chipset requiring an LGA 2011 processor (i7 3820 for gaming), with raided SandForce ssds and two or three ATI HD7970 and at least 4x4gb 2400 ram. Better get a nice set of at least 3 Dell u2711 or better.

most powerful for *** and giggles and giggles would still be a 2500k with the most gpu you can fit in a system.

i5-2500k + 4x 7970 + 8 gb of ram + 128gb ssd would be as powerful as you can go for gaming. OC everything but the ssd.

I don't see the problem with finding a board since there are ones out there and this is purely hypothetical.

anyways most of the money in this would go into the display I'd guess cause theres a limmit to the number of cards and cpu power but you'd be able to add a lot more displays like 20 1600p screens.

i think id perfer somthing alot the lines of a 3screen setup running 6 7970s so theres 6 gig per screen 2 intel 6cores at 7 ghz fully submerged in mineral oil and have the mineral oil goign through a cooling system , 10 tb of ssd no hdds a logitech g15 and a razer mamba with drdre beat pros with a astro mix amp and coby djmic and 16.1 ambient lighting ;D of course this is hypothetical lol

that doesn't even work... you won't be able to get 6 pci express lanes and you'd only get 3 gb in total for the memory if you run them in crossfire. 10 tb of ssd wouldn't help in gaming and why use mineral oil when you can use liquid helium :D
