Last year I built a new computer, now it's 1 year old.
I just thought I'd share my experiences with my rig.

System specs:

Intel i7 980X
Asus P6X58D-E
6GB of 1600 Corsair RAM
120 GB SSD OS drive
2 WD 1GB data drives in RAID
1x 2GB WD backup[ drive.
CoolerMaster 942 HAF-X

My only real complaint is:

I wish that the SSD's would be about $150.00 cheaper across the board.
I would have liked to get at least a 256 GB drive. just too expensive.

The rig is running nicely, no big issues
I did have to under clock the RAM as the "overclock" failed.
Have to run it at 1333 instead of 1600.

I need to clear out some space on the SSD as it drags the WE way down.
I took the side panel (with the fan) off for lower temps and better circulation.

Where did you lay your hands on 1GB and 2GB western digital drives? and why?

"120 GB SSD OS drive
2 WD 1GB data drives in RAID
1x 2GB WD backup[ drive. "

We all wish for the prices of SSD's to come down, but they have from that time to now.....

What is "WE" that is dragged down due to a full SSD?
Have you shifted the Pagefile from the SSD to your WD HDDs? if not do it, it'll free up quite a few crucial GBs from the SSD.
