Crysis 2 crossfire question

Hi, i was thinking of adding a second gpu with my 4870 1gb and all i can find on amazon or newegg are 4850's and no 4870's (or 4870's priced at like $200) so i was going to get a XFX 4850 1gb gpu on amazon for 80$ but i was wondering if you think i would see a noticable performance gain in crysis 2, right now i run it on high settings with 4x aa and 16x anistropic filtering with almost no lag, do you think i could raise my settings up higher? thanks

6gb of ddr3 ram@ 1333mhz

you cant xfire a 4850 and 4870, only same models can do it.

i think it can be done but it will perform like 2 4850 in CF.

@OP: if you don't mind to get used card it is better for you to look for another 4870. they should sell for cheap. the only drawback is the card is used and the manufacturer warranty maybe already expired

If the seller of the used card isn't pulling a scam, then it could be almost more reliable to go used because it basically eliminates factory DOAs.

alright i found a lightly used 4870 for just $10 more so i think im gonna go with that

I think you have ATi cards and Nvidia cards confused.
