Ram frequency probleme

Hello,
i have just bought a new corsair vengence 2X4 go 1866mhz ram and it should be running at a 1866mhz frequence but it is currently running at a 1600mhz frequency and when i try to run it at a 1866 mhz frequency the systeme doesn't boot and the bios says overcklocking failed so i am wondering if my ram is working properly and how can i run it at a 1866mhz frequency
ps: i have an i7 3770k cpu and an asus p8h77 v motherboard

You may not be O/Cing correctly. You should move this post to the Overclocking section for better response. Btw, I doubt you'll be able to notice a lick of difference between 1600MHZ and 1866MHZ without test instruments.
