Will this work as a setup?

I'm just upgrading my pc from a core II duo (getting really outdated) and I just wanted to check that this setup would work together:

Mobo: Asrock N68-S UCC Motherboard, Socket AM3, Nvidia GeForce 7025, 2xDDR2, 1xPCIe-16, 1xPCIe-1 (This is being upgraded)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2 GHz, Socket AM3 (This is being upgraded)
RAM: 2x 2GB DDR2
GPU: nVidia GTS 250
PSU: 500W

The RAM GPU and PSU will remain the same, just changing the Motherboard for the CPU change.

I really just need to know that these will work together, not too worried about Intel vs. AMD or anything like that.
Thanks.

You can check the motherboard's specs here: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=N68-S%20UCC&cat=Specifications...

But all seems to be OK. The board is limited to 95W processors, but the 840 is just that. My only suggestion would be, if you are going to use the machine for gaming, get a faster graphics card. If not, all is fine.

Thanks for the help. I'm going on a bit of a budget so the GFX card will have to do, at the moment on a 2.4GHz dual core I can actually run BF3 Beta on low settings at maybe 25-30 fps, the biggest problem being the cpu really but yea, I think the GTS 250 will have to do till the end of the year at least. Anyway, thanks for that.
