Hello all, thanks for taking the time to help me. I searched the forum to see if some one had already asked for advice catered around this game, but they weren't for me. Couple weeks ago I saw a bunch of stickies for best builds based on budget voted by the community and I saw a AMD one for less than $500. Would that be sufficient?

SW:TOR System Requirements

Approximate Purchase Date: Before 12/20/12. I heard some new Bulldozer thing is coming out, should I wait till then?

Budget Range: No more than $800. If you can help it, don't try and max my budget.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: swtor, mmos, converting video files, photoshop

Parts Not Required: I already have a keyboard and mouse, but do you have good suggestions for gaming ones? Monitor, but should I upgrade?

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: no preference, I'm in Texas though. Closest (2 hours) Microcenter to me is in Dallas.

Country of Origin: Texas, United States

Parts Preferences: No preference

Overclocking: Maybe, if it means going cheaper and is safe.

SLI or Crossfire: Not needed

Monitor Resolution: Max monitor setting is 1680x1050

Additional Comments: I'm really looking to build a budget computer with its main use for this game. I'm not interested in a super computer that can play max settings on any game I throw at it. The only games I really play are MMOs and some RPGs. I've been using a Intel T2300 1.67 GHz CPU (I recently beat The Witcher 2), so I am use to really shitty settings and more concerned that I don't have to wait 5 minutes every time I load into a new area while my team thinks I disconnected.

If you're curious to see what I use now:
Intel CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz
Intel 82801 PCI Bridge - 2448
AMD HD 6470 1gb
2 Gigs of Ram
Thermaltake TR2 600W PSU

just less than $590 .
you can do more but you said you dont want max settings and that stuff
you dont need to upgrade your monitor but if you want to get the same one and use dual monitors.
there wont be any lag with that fast lan card
you could wait till the bulldozer comes out but you said you dont want a it over the top
