Bios update problems

I am currently working on my first build, but do not have enough money, or patience to buy the components together, I am getting parts individually so that i will have a running pc quicker. I bought a ASRock Z68 motherboard and I am currently looking into getting a CPU, however I want an i5 Ivy Bridge because it has better integrated graphics, while i save for a gpu, but the bios on my motherboard is different than the Ivy Bridge. Should i just get Sandy Bridge or are there other ways than using a sandy bridge to update the bios?

  1. No, you have to use SB cpu to update bios to latest one. You should have brought a z77 chip mobo.
