New PC home built a few weeks back, been running great, playing bf3, skyrim etc.... But then last night It just died.
Tried a reboot, fans startup but nothing on the screen, it then stops and tries to reboot again.

I have a z77-d3h gigabyte mobo, Ive done the usual, CMOS reset, recabled, removed usbs, tried 1 stick of ram etc...

Any thoughts?? Really stuck after the usual troubleshooting

I have a gpu but for testing I removed that and left only 1 stick of ram in also.
forgot to add that it attempts to boot with fans spinning but nothing appears on the screen and it then sometimes goes into a reboot loop, so yes there is some sort of reboot loop.

will do, i am using 1866 ram and i know it only uses 1600.

I'm going to try some spare 1333 DDR3 ram i've got, if it works then i know the ram could be the issue

I'm having the same problem. Tried the same solutions, to no avail. Thinking I might just take the board back tomorrow for an ASUS

Hi Strongflower,

I sent mine back it was faulty, i then went for an ASUS, no problems at all.

Think i will stay clear of GIGABYTE in the future! :)

GIGABYTE is not bad as you think. Your board was faulty, a bad luck for you. I am on 4th gigabyte board and having no problem. All of them are fine. Just the first one getting error after 7 years of use.
