Fill this form and it will be much easier for us to help you.

Generally though, now is not really a time to get a Phenom II x6 CPU especially with an AM3 socket motherboard.
Bulldozer will be out within a month or so, so in the least you should get an AM3+ motherboard so that you can upgrade to a bulldozer CPU later.
For gaming a quad core generally works just fine so Phenom II x4 955 BE ~ $105 on sale this weekend for example, would be a much better way to go.
With Asrock 970 Extreme 4 as the motherboard.

However fill the form and we'll know better what the rig is for, what you have, what you need and what is your budget.

The short answer atm would be that you can get a really nice computer for that £700.

The PSU will be able handle the current graphics cards easily, and the 5670 needs updating anyway to get the monitor resolution maxed out.
Would also recommend checking out scan.co.uk, they have great daily deals.

CPU: i5 2500k £168
Mobo: Asrock Z68 Extreme 3, Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 £124
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+ or similar £28
Memory: Gskill RipjawsX 2x4GB 1.5V CAS9 1600Mhz ~£40
GPU: £190 Nvidia 560Ti or AMD 6950 1GB or 2GB whichever you can get cheaper, at your resolution it doesn't matter.
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB £50
DVD: Asus/Lite-on/Samsung/Sony 20-24x DVD writer £15
PSU: ( GS700W )
Case: Antec 300 + 2x 120mm fans for example £70

Total: £700 ish

If you need to be able to fit the OS as well, downgrade the graphics card to 6870 or GTX560
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit costs about £70. The downgrade covers most of it as 6870's are about £140.

Well the only issues I can think of are related to everything fitting into the case you have.

So make sure there is enough room to put in the CPU heatsink & fan.

Also make sure there is enough room for the graphics card you decide on.
