6870 crossfire on 650 watt psu?

I am going to be getting this psu Power Supply: Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W $59.99 and wondering if this would be enough to run crossfire. I also am overclocking my 955 to 4.0ghz. So would it be enough??


Also whats the difference between these 2 cards here, thanks.

The Antec EarthWatts EA-650 Green, with its combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 54 Amps, is more than sufficient to power a system with two Radeon HD 6870 graphics cards in CrossFireX.

The only difference I can see between those two graphics cards is that the more expensive one has two Mini DisplayPorts while the cheaper one has one regular size DisplayPort.

The more expensive one supports OpenGL 3.2 and the cheaper one supports OpenGL 4.1 if that matters to you.

IMO that should be fine, but just to be sure what other hardware are you running on the computer? How many HD's and diskdrives PCI slots etc?

id suggest paying the extra and getting the Antec Trupower New 650, in my case it was $20 more than the earthwatts. I was looking at the Earthwatts green buy i was worried about the way the 12v rails were distributed and couldnt find any info about it. The trupower has all its power available on the 12v and the rails are well distributed along with more warranty.

^ nice, i dont know how i didn't see that. but im still happy i went with the semi-modular trupower for a few extra dollars. the earthwatts doesnt even have sleeved cables.
