The 6870 is more powerful that the GTX560 but the gain is minor,it also depends on what game your playing. The 6870 is also cheaper than the GTX560.

It really all depends on what game your playing and what the rest of your system is like.As welll as what resoultion your monitor is.Usually it will take a SLI or Crossfire of those cards in order to max out some of the current games.

What are your full system specs?(CPU,RAM,PSU,etc.)

What resolution is your monitor?

What games are you gonna play with the new card?

Do you have a budget?

Quote:
btw the beta was in dx10 maxed out at 1080p with no antialiasing as there were no options for these settings.
the final game will be better optimized but i ran my gtx 480 in none sli mode (1gpu)
i was ranging from 45-62.5fps vsynced

Do you think a 560TI will do? or do i have to go the way to 570?

It's very very demanding.I was in the Alpha too.Was maxing out my quad core at 3.8ghz.As well as my 6870.The graphics were also turned down a lot for testing so you can expect the full game to be really graphicly intesnsive.Like I said before your going to need a very powerful single card or a SLI/Crossfire in order to max those games out.

Whats your budget for the GPU?

Even with a GTX570 i'm having a hard time believeing your gonna max it out. It's very CPU demanding so I suggest you try to O.C. your processor.Into the 3.5ghz+ range is probably what the game needs to run smooth.I was talking in the BF3 Alpha fourms and people with Sandy Bridge processors were also maxing out at 80%.

I recently purchased the GTX 560 (No TI) from Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... I play Crysis 2 on a 23" monitor at 1920 X 1080 maxed out with all the "eye candy" turned on. It blows through it like Hurricane Katrina. Don't know about the others suggested above, but I can tell you the GTX 560 is a winner.

I highly reccomend SLI'ing a pair of GTX560ti's or Crossfire 6870's.

GTX560ti's or 6870's in Crossfire paired with your i7 should max out BF3.Providing that you O.C. your i7.

Which card are you going to get?

It really depends on your budget.I would reccomend getting one of the Asus or MSI models as they have some of the best cooling.

For $270 I would suggest a 6950 or GTX560ti.That way you can get the best model avaible with aftermarket cooling.

If you have 270 left go with a 560ti or a 6950 2gb. Can always grab another and SLI if you discover the one isn't enough. I have 2 560ti's and nothing slows them down at 1920* right now.
