Acquired some money and looking to poor it into a new setup so i can play the latest and greatest games. I want to be able to run them fast and with a good frame rate, but it doesn't have to be anything too killer :p I'm asking here because I'm more of a software guy and haven't kept up with any of the new hardware so i figured you guys could help me out :)

Have a ATI Radeon HD 4600 GPU and amd phenom 9850 quad core processor sitting around, but i think both are pretty outdated with the stuff thats available now days.

Approximate Purchase Date: within the next week

Budget Range: ~1200$

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, programming (java :p), web surfing

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any established/trusted site

Parts Preferences: Seems the sandy bridges setup is the way to go, but i'm not sure?

Overclocking: maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1600 x 900. might buy a new monitor if you guys think it would improve the experience :)

Additional Comments: don't care about case looks or fan sound really. just the actual performance XD
